We’re well into February now, and for many people, this is the time when those ambitious New Year’s resolutions start to fizzle out. Maybe life has gotten busier, motivation has dipped, or the excitement of starting fresh in January has worn off. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone! But here’s the good news—habits aren’t about quick fixes or short bursts of motivation. They’re built through consistency, and one of the best ways to stay consistent is through accountability.
When we set goals on our own, it’s easy to let them slide when life gets hectic. But when we have someone checking in on us, encouraging us, or even doing it alongside us, we’re much more likely to stay committed. This is why group challenges, workout buddies, and tracking progress with a coach or community can be game-changers.
Think about it—how many times have you pushed through a tough workout simply because others were counting on you? How often have you made a healthier choice because you didn’t want to let yourself or your accountability partner down? Having a support system makes all the difference.
Keeping habits going strong can be tough, but there are a few quick tricks to help you get it right:
⭐Find Your People – Whether it’s a fitness class, an online group, or just a friend with similar goals, surround yourself with those who will push you to be your best.
⭐Make It Public – Share your goals! When others know what you're working toward, you’re more likely to follow through.
⭐Track Your Progress – Keep a journal, use an app, or simply check off a calendar. Seeing progress, even small wins, keeps you going.
⭐Celebrate the Wins – Whether it’s hitting a new milestone or just showing up when you didn’t feel like it, acknowledge your effort and keep pushing forward.
We just wrapped up our Step into Healthy Habits January Challenge, and I couldn’t be more proud of everyone who participated—it was an incredible four weeks filled with dedication, progress, and so much fun! A huge congratulations to our winners: Tied for first place were Hannah Butler and Randa Pence, who both crushed the 4-week challenge with a perfect score, hitting every single one of their goals all month long! Aimee Lyday secured third place, showing incredible dedication and consistency during the challenge period. These ladies showed up, stayed consistent, and held themselves accountable all month long. And guess what? They built habits that will continue to serve them beyond the challenge. That’s the real win!
If you’ve been struggling to keep your own habits going, don’t give up—lean into accountability, find your support system, and remember that progress isn’t about being perfect, it’s about showing up.
